Riot Games: Work Harder, Play Harder!

Riot Games has been featured recently in The St. Louis Business Journal in regards to expansion, growth, potential and becoming a core player in the gaming industry. The LA based company has opened an office in the St. Louis, MO area and added 10 new employees under Scalability Architect Scott Delap. The plan is to hire an additional 20 more this year alone! The move to St. Louis is welcomed by the area IT talent as Riot Games spokesman Chris Heintz said, "St. Louis has tech talent and plenty of engineers. We certainly want to grow the game scene here." The St. Louis office will be a great addition to the already 200 employees and 120 to come.

The most impressive portion of the article was the time lines that Riot Games has grown into the one of the world's most valuable start ups. Founded in 2006 and already valued at $250 million with an estimated revenue of $50 million. These projections are only predicted to grow with Chinese powerhouse Tencent, a $50 billion company, becoming the majority investor in a deal said to be worth more than $350 million. With the pipeline into the Chinese market there is nothing stopping Riot Games from continuous growth in a ever growing market!

Congrats Riot Games; we all look forward to seeing your continued success!
